Grimhøj Motocrossklub

Grimhoej Motocross in the Brabrand district of Aarhus is not a plain sports club - it is a youth club built around motocross. The Vores Brabrand report on the 40th anniversary in October 2025 carries the numbers: Keld Kjeldahl has run the place since it was founded in autumn 1985, the club has 140 members and owns more than a hundred machines, some of them belonging to the youth school and to the Gellerup clubs. To ride one of the municipal bikes you have to be at least ten years old; most members join at eleven to thirteen. Riding takes place on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 and on individual public holidays - that window was moved forward from the former 12:00 to 16:00 slot after complaints from neighbours. Besides Kjeldahl, ten people put in six to ten hours a week, among them psychologists, teachers and mechanics. The report gives the track at Grimhoejvej as 1140 metres. How the layout rides is not documented in public: none of the reachable sources says anything about the ground or the character of the course, and our own record holds a mixed surface at roughly 68 metres of altitude. So plan around access rather than around a guess. The report describes a supervised youth club with its own fleet of bikes and a fixed Saturday window; whether and in what form you can ride there on your own machine does not follow from it - settle that with the club before you drive out.
