Crossing logs and ledges

Enduro · intermediate · obstacles

Logs and ledges are about lifting the front wheel and unweighting the bike - not about speed. Come in standing, in the attack position, square to the obstacle. Just before it, a small clutch-and-throttle blip lifts the front so it lands on top of or beyond the obstacle; then shift your weight forward and let the rear come up and over while you stay light on the pegs. Keep a little drive going through the obstacle - chopping the throttle drops the front straight into it. For a tall ledge, get the front wheel up high and use a controlled clutch pop to bring the rear up. Practise the timing on a small log first, where a mistake costs nothing. Smooth and deliberate beats fast and loose.

A starting point to verify on the bike - not a safety guarantee. Change one thing at a time and check on track.
