Gearing first

Kart tracks are 1st-3rd gear territory. Go +2 (tight) to +4 (very tight) teeth on the rear vs your baseline so 2nd gear carries the slowest corner - lugging 1st kills drive and control. Fast layout days: back to baseline or -2. (LAISA encodes tight = +2 rear for supermoto.)

Geometry for flick speed

More fork protrusion through the clamps (+2 to +5 mm, front lower) quickens steering for the chicane-dense layout; give it back on fast tracks.

The WP shortcut

KTM/Husqvarna publish three click maps in the manual - comfort (17), standard (12), sport (7). Kart-track novice: start at standard, NOT sport; the stiff map punishes you on tight bumpy kart tarmac.

The setup that makes sliding learnable

Day rhythm

Pressure check between sessions (small tires heat fast), sag stays at ~80 mm rider sag (SMR factory target), and the track gets greasy with kart rubber by afternoon - one click softer compression usually buys back the grip.
