Track length and soil build-up at Wildwood MX on W Hayes Road near Kentwood, just short of the Mississippi line, are not documented. What is on record is the operation: open Wednesday through Sunday, fees varying by day, plus camping, RV hookups, restrooms and a concession stand on site. Coaching is offered as well - so the place does not see itself purely as a track where you turn laps. Five opening days a week is a lot for a motocross venue, and it changes how you should train here. Instead of compressing everything into four hours on a Saturday, you can come midweek, ride two short sessions and genuinely work on the suspension in between. That is this place's advantage - use it rather than simulating a race-day rhythm out of habit. And if coaching is in the house anyway: an outside opinion on your cornering line costs less time than ten more laps of your own. What catches you first on loamy clay once the ruts wear in: the front oversteers and knifes. Our first cause is a fork that is too soft - add compression so it stops riding low and folding into the rut.
