The club at Geyer in the Ore Mountains carries a sport in its name that has almost disappeared: skijoring - skiers towed behind motorcycles. Alongside the cross track it maintains a cross-country ski trail and, with the Speedhill, a hillclimb. That combination explains the rhythm of operation: the site is used across the year for very different events, of which motocross is only one. Anyone wanting to ride there should check the calendar first - in winter a ski track may be laid on the same ground.
