The MC Jessen track sits about one kilometre outside the town of Jessen and is reached via the B187. According to motoXevents the loop is 1250 metres long and at least 5 metres wide everywhere; it offers many tables, banked turns and both fast and tight passages, and is a task even for experienced riders. The site is laid out like a stadium, with raised spectator areas all around from which nearly the whole lap can be seen. Our record lists the ground as sand. Training times and fees are currently not reliably documented in public. Sand behaves differently from firm ground: it builds deep ruts in the corners quickly, the rear keeps hunting for a new line in the soft sections, and you hold the bike on line with throttle and body position rather than with the brake. Between the fast stretches and the tight hairpins the load changes constantly. Top of our cause list is rebound that is too fast for sand at the rear: the rear pogos and skips instead of digging in. Slow it down and the bike settles.
