The Crossodromo Colle Teste sits near Castel di Sangro in the province of L'Aquila and, according to the mxcenter track directory, is run by the local Moto Club. It is listed at 1400 metres, category 3, with UISP homologation and no separate minicross track. Opening times are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 15:00 to 20:00 and Sunday from 9:00 to 20:00, and the directory explicitly recommends calling ahead because schedules change. There is a bar, cold and hot showers and 220-volt outlets on site, but no floodlighting. The calendar of the Motornext series lists Colle Teste as the venue for a round including minicross and Over-40 classes. Prices are not publicly documented. Our record has this one down as clay, and clay cuts deep, hard ruts after a few hours of traffic. In those ruts the fork decides everything: if it sits too low in the stroke, the front wheel knifes into the rut wall and steers further than you asked it to. Top of our cause list for that is front compression that is too soft - add a few clicks so the fork carries higher in its travel.
